13 Mar Bull Test – Off Test
It’s Spring, well almost Spring, which means the bulls are coming off test. There are three off test procedures. First, all bulls are weighted, have a scrotal measurement taken, and an internal examination. The Genetic Evaluation program is updated with this information. With the updated information the bottom end bulls for performance and scrotal circumference are culled. The next step is the check the bulls for confirmation, feet/legs and disposition, bulls not meeting the set criteria are culled. The final process is semen evaluation. The semen testing will be done in April before the Beefbooster Sales.
